This is what happens when you don’t grease your industrial motor June 5, 2019

TOO LITTLE TOO LATE

This video explains what happens when you don't grease your industrial motor according to the manufacturer's specifications. Funny thing is, after the catastrophic bearing failure, someone at the plant gave the motor a good greasing. It was too little too late, so now the motor is in for a repair at Duke.

Luckily the windings were saved by the motor's overload protection. But we still have to change the bearings, fix the shaft and sleeve and machine each of the end bells.
